Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Overview

At Pool Perfectionists, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will work with you to resolve the issue quickly, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This policy outlines your rights and our process for returns, exchanges, and refunds.


2. Change of Mind Returns

  • We do not offer refunds for change of mind on chemical products, custom-made items, or special orders.
  • For eligible non-chemical, unopened, and unused products, we may offer a store credit or exchange at our discretion. This will include a 20% charge for restocking the item.
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).
  • Products must be in original packaging and in resaleable condition.

3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item has a major fault under the ACL.
Examples include:

  • The product is unsafe.
  • The product is significantly different from the description.
  • The product does not function as intended.

If the fault is minor, we may choose to repair the item or replace it at no cost.


4. Warranty Claims

  • Many pool equipment products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Warranty periods and terms vary by brand – please refer to the manufacturer’s documentation.
  • We can assist you with lodging warranty claims and liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf.

5. Return Process

  2. We may request photos, videos, or additional information to assess the claim.
  3. Once approved, we will provide return instructions or arrange collection (if applicable).

6. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • If the return is due to a faulty, damaged, or incorrect product, we will cover the return shipping cost.
  • If the return is due to change of mind, the customer is responsible for return shipping.

7. Non-Returnable Items

For health, safety, and regulatory reasons, the following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Pool chemicals and water treatment products.
  • Installed or used equipment.
  • Clearance or sale items (unless faulty).
