No. The iSkim is designed specifically for the water surface. It continually collects floating debris before it can sink, complementing a robotic pool cleaner that handles the floor, walls and waterline.
What debris can it collect?
The large basket is designed to collect leaves, twigs, grass, flowers, pollen, hair, insects and other floating material. Its filtration captures particles down to approximately 550 microns.
Can it be used in a saltwater pool?
Yes. It is suitable for saltwater pools with a salt concentration up to 5,000 ppm and chlorine levels up to 4 ppm.
How long does the battery last?
The iSkim can operate for up to 28 hours from a full charge without sunlight under laboratory test conditions. In sunlight, the solar panel can continue topping up the battery while the skimmer works.
Is it suitable for different pool shapes?
Yes. It is designed for above-ground and in-ground pools in common shapes, including rectangular, round, kidney and freeform pools.
Can it work under a pool cover?
Yes, provided there is approximately 15cm of clearance between the water surface and the cover.
